About Masai Mara Safari
This site is an independent guide to Masai Mara safaris in Kenya and a comparison of the safaris you can book: day trips from Nairobi, 2-day and 3-day group safaris, lodge safaris, longer trips with Lake Nakuru and Amboseli, and hot air balloon flights. We do not operate or personally conduct these safaris. The full line-up sits in the Masai Mara safari catalog.
Why It Exists
Most Masai Mara safari listings print a price per person that leaves out the reserve fee. That fee is paid per person per day, and it doubles in the second half of the year, so the price you see is often not the price you pay.
So every safari here is shown with what its price covers: the park fee, the vehicle, the camp or lodge, the meals and the optional extras such as a Maasai village visit or a balloon flight.
Where the Figures Come From
Safari prices, ratings, review counts, itineraries and inclusions come from the listing on the platform that sells each safari. Park fees, entry rules and seasons come from the official bodies: Narok County Government, which runs the reserve, the Kenya Wildlife Service for Lake Nakuru and Amboseli, and the Kenyan government for entry rules.
When two sources disagree, the page gives the official one or leaves the figure out.
What You Will Not Find
There is no invented guide or local expert behind these pages, and no claim that anyone from the site joined a safari. Reviews shown are short excerpts from four and five star platform reviews. Fees are not printed where no official source gives them.
How the Site Is Paid For
The booking buttons are affiliate links to GetYourGuide and Viator, and the hotel links go through Stay22. If you book through one, the platform pays a commission and your price does not change. No operator pays for a place, a badge or the pick.
